343707 2005-04-11 09:11:00 Not sure whether anyone can help me or not but i have a problem with any web browser that i use in that i am getting a web page called spotresults loading most times a i use a browser.

I have used adaware and spybot in an endeavour to fix the problem but to no avail.

I have a host file in this area and it kepts adding in web sites C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc. This file can be deleted but as soon as i delete it, it reappears almost immediately.

I am on a network (LAN) which does appear to be affected but it keeps dropping the TCP/IP preferred dns server number.

I would appreciate if anyone could advise what can be done. Is system retsore an option?

I am running XP Pro using both Mozilla Firefox and IE browsers.

My email address is [edit: email addy removed]

Regards
David

Then select utils menu / 4th option to reset the hosts file .

Not a good idea putting your email here .

You'll get more than spyware . You'll start getting spam .
