I have used adaware and spybot in an endeavour to fix the problem but to no avail. I have a host file in this area and it kepts adding in web sites C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc. This file can be deleted but as soon as i delete it, it reappears almost immediately. I am on a network (LAN) which does appear to be affected but it keeps dropping the TCP/IP preferred dns server number. I would appreciate if anyone could advise what can be done. Is system retsore an option? I am running XP Pro using both Mozilla Firefox and IE browsers. My email address is [edit: email addy removed] Regards David |

Then select utils menu / 4th option to reset the hosts file . Not a good idea putting your email here . You'll get more than spyware . You'll start getting spam . |
