Ok I've recently upgraded my itunes to the latest version, so I thought now would be a chance to ask about a few of my pet peeves with it

1) when i have moved a song outside of iTunes the listing shows an exclamation mark next to it, is there an option somewhere so that I can remove all these invalid listing in one hit rather than doing them individually? because if there is i can't find it.

2)Does iTunes support .wma well, I know with the previous version of itunes I had WMAs kept crashing it

3)There is 3 & 4 but once i started typing they slipped my mind, so i'll post them when i remember

Thanks

Ps how do I turn the ipod sevice and itunes helper off -- these appear in task manager

Thankls Nigel

343546 2005-04-11 00:06:00 Click start, run, then type services.msc and press enter then look for ipod service in the list and then just set it to disabled.

1. Press the shift key highlight the files then delete?

2.No. By the looks of it, only AAC, MP3 (Constant and Variable Bit Rates), WAV, AIFF, and Audible. You'll have to convert WMA files, to one of these.

The Ipod service and helper are under run in the registry.

You may need either. One might stop the Ipod from working completely.

Or stop Itunes synching with the Ipod.

343549 2005-04-11 01:37:00 ITunes will automatically convert unprotected wma's to either aac or mp3 when you try to import depending on how you have configured your preferences.

Have never found away to sort all 'lost' tracks into one list for deletion.

The quickest way would probably be just selecting each one individually while holding Ctrl, then press the Delete key.
