| 344059 | 2005-04-12 09:12:00 | Sorry if this is a dumb question. When I bought my Compaq NX9005 laptop 18 months ago, there was no sign of Musicmatch Jukebox. But after a restore and a new CD burner under warranty - suddenly there it was. I've ignored it until tonight when it tried to play some tracks. Looks a bit like Winamp. Anyway, can anybody tell me where it is likely to have come from? Is it of any use? It insists on trying to upgrade every time it opens. Basically Media Player seems to suit my very basic needs. My PC has Roxio Easy CD Creater as the burning software. Not that it is much use either, but it sort of works. Lately I've been using Media Player to burn songs for my tweenage daughter. Easy and it works - so far. |

| 344060 | 2005-04-12 09:16:00 | musicmatch used to be my program of choice, just think of it as a photo album for music. It will burn discs, can be complicated so stick with what you know | plod (107) | ||

Yer Cd Creator is OK, if its version 6 +. if its version 5, and u use XP, it needs to be updated to work with XP. |

| 344062 | 2005-04-12 10:44:00 | I could be biased, but I have had MusicMatch for several years. It is something like Winamp, but much better. There are too many features to list, but it will burn CD's as data or audio, & the library of all mp'3 can be displayed or searched for whatever, like track name, artist name, genree. Winston, if you've sorted your music into folfders, then give MMJB a try... | Bazza (407) | ||

Near everyone I know whose managed to get it on their harddrive couldn't get rid of it fast enough, especiallly those that couldn't understand how it repeatedly stole the media files and kept on leaping into life when they hated it,and never wanted to use it.... |
