| 344696 | 2005-04-14 01:11:00 | I have a Compaq Presario 5000 Windows Me I am unable to install an anti-virus program. I took the hard drive out & scanned it for viruses as a slave - clean I put the hard drive back in, rechecked all anti-virus programs were uninstalled ran spyware check with 3 programs - removed all traces I installed Norton Anti-Virus 2005. Clicking on the desktop icon wouldn't do anything. click on the program in the program list provided the same results. Norton shows in the taskbar. I uninstalled Norton and install AVG v.7 Installed ok but sent the display setting into a whirl. Viewing at 640x480 and can't adjust it higher. Any thoughts as to why this is happening and what to do about it. |

| 344700 | 2005-04-14 03:25:00 | don't know? I tried multiple ways of re-installing the video driver and Compaq refused each time and then whamo it installed. I re-installed AVG, updated it and everything is peachy. Thank you all for your input |
