| 344551 | 2005-04-13 12:02:00 | Hello, I posted on here the other day with a problem to do with programs taking a very long time to open and sometimes not for 5 or 10 minutes. I remember downloading a program the was supposed to clean up the start-up featues and remove unnecassary things from it. Well I think this problem started round the same time so could in be related? Anyway, if anyone has an opinion or knows how to restore the basic windows setting I'd welcome your input! Thanks, Matt |

This runs the windows file checker and will ask for your installation cd if anything is amiss. Also press ctrl alt delete to bring up the taskmanager and find out what processes you have running by going to one of these sites. here (www.answersthatwork.com) here (www.windowsstartup.com) here (www.blackviper.com) Process explorer here (www.sysinternals.com) hth |
