If theyre on the taskbar, click on one of them ie: the dialup, then the details tab, there's your ip address. Or if theyre not on the taskbar, go to my network places / view network connections and right mouse button on either / properties, and tick show icon in notification area when connected and the 1 under it. Then OK. |

Many thanks Start > Settings (or whatever it is in XP) Network & Dialup Connections > If ADSL/LAN, right click the Local Area Connection > Properties and in the resulting box highlight Netwrk Adapter TCP/IP or, Internet Protocol TCP/IP (as long as TCP/IP is there, should be obvious) click the Properties button and youll find your adapters IP address in the top field. (Can also get there via Control Panel > Network & Dialup Connections) If you have the two little computer icons in your system tray, left click, click Properties button in the resulting box and Bob's your uncle. If you don't have it you'll need to create a new connection based on your netwrk adapter. |

| 344312 | 2005-04-13 03:53:00 | Hey thanks guys - the Ipconfig one gave it all. Bit scary going back into that DOS sorta stuff - takes me back to the early 80s and hanging onto the phone and a certain programmer trying to kick some life back into one of his **lls ups!! | stuffed (1469) | ||
| 344313 | 2005-04-13 06:50:00 | For < Windows Xp users, they might want to determine their IP by typing "winipcfg" in the run command (without the quotation mark). Cheers :) | Renmoo (66) | ||
