344645 2005-04-15 00:04:00 This morning I got a weird call from Telecom, the automated message asked if the account holder was home but he wasn't. Hmm...I should have just said "Is he home? -- 'YES'" sal (67)
344646 2005-04-15 00:22:00 What a break up this is becoming.

Something between Hogan’s Heroes, The Goons and Monty Python.

Sal, how do I get a site off shore and I’ll host the thing myself and take my chances with the NZ Army. Could be fun. :D

I'll email it to you if you like, although I didn't save the document images

344649 2005-04-15 23:28:00 Man this is a pity. I had the stuff formatted to work with my website last night, and just as I was about to upload this morning I found all this stuff on the thread, and sure enough - the original was gone. Did a bit of research and from what I can tell, the ISP seems to have been threatened with legal action if it didn't remove the stuff. I think I'm just going to keep this stuff offline for a while until the legal stuff seems a bit safer. I'm not sure on this - but I think the National Business Review is also hosting copies of the scanned images of the report, as the pages I saw yesterday seem to have come from there. Don't know how long they'll last though - the NBR won't want the legal trouble I think.

344650 2005-04-16 01:18:00 Nothing on the NBR site. There are copies hosted offshore (possibly more than one I have heard). I'm sure if someone wanted to do it, a no-IP type or free hosting offshore would be easy to setup. May be, one of the .org sites would be helpful, not really /. cup of tea, but something like that perhaps, if one had a care for that sort of thing and new the ins & outs.

Kind of touchy though, I imagine, eh?

344651 2005-04-17 05:54:00 As a matter of interest I have just read a press report in our local paper where Winston Peters claims there is no injunction forbidding the publication of the Butcher Report .

As I understand it, the Court ordered Bob Moodie to return the report to the Army .
It would seem he has done that but kept a copy . :D

Importantly, there doesn’t appear to be any order from the Courts that the report cannot be published .

Now, Peters tried to table the report in parliament but was blocked by Labour . (With, I guess, the support of the Greens and United Future) .

Interestingly, no journalist seems to have interviewed the leaders of these minor associated parties on their stance on the matter and why they are supporting Labour .

The plot thickens .
