Just been looking for a Microsoft IntelliPoint mouse driver and whilst checking out their "system requirements" on this page (www.microsoft.com) couldn't believe my eyes at what I read: Hard Disk Space required: 35 MB of available hard-disk space Thirty-five megabytes for a mouse driver?! The greedy little rodent! :eek: Just to satisfy my curiosity I tried downloading several of the drivers to see how big they were but didn't come across one larger than 9MB. Maybe it's a really "special" mouse that needs 35MB? Even if it is I still think that's just plain greedy! Oh, and check out the other specs listed: One of the following: Windows XP Home Edition or Professional with a Pentium 233 MHz or higher processor and 128MB of RAM Windows 2000 Professional or Server with a Pentium 133 MHz or higher processor and 128 MB of RAM Windows XP on a Pentium 233MHz??!!! Tell me they are joking... surely....? :eek: |

| 345091 | 2005-04-15 06:43:00 | hmmm.....I downloaded their mouse drivers earlier today (just took delivery of an Microsoft Platinum Explorer, Looked so good i gifted it to myself) Install file is 6.85mb, installed files are 5.78 MB....can't say I'm too upset. The mouse on the other hand leaves a lot to be desired, I should know better. |
