2005-04-30 07:16:00 | I am testing it(Genius headset don't know the model number) and the inbuilt mike in the Laptops using All Programs\Accesseries\Entertainment\sound recording. I have stopped trying to use skype to save some of my credits for when I get it going. | theother1 (3573) | |
2005-05-01 00:57:00 | Has no one got any further ideas? Seems I may just have to send them both back to the service people. | theother1 (3573) | |
2005-05-01 01:05:00 | If you do that PLEASE do come back and tell us the result....cause i reckon theres something 'funny' here........i'd seriously doubt that two pc's had the same problem........ | drcspy (146) | |
2005-05-01 02:43:00 | absolutely my conviction drcspy. That is why I thought I would throw it back to the panel to see what our team of experts thought. Don't worry, unless I find myself to be unspeakable stupid about this, I will post the outcome. ;) | theother1 (3573) | |
2005-05-03 05:02:00 | I am sure you will all be impressed to know that I have fixed the problem of the mute microphone. I went into the volume control on the ?Status Bar? on the bottom right of the desk top. and fiddled with a few other things like "Centre" and "Rear" which both have advanced tabs and unchecked the "1 switch mike to centre/LFE Output" and " 1 switch Line-in to rear output" also it was necessary to "check" "Mike Boost" which someone had told me to "make sure it was unchecked" and it worked. The sound is still a little fuzzy like someone has put cotton wool in the headphones but it works. Thanks heaps for your assistance guys, You gave me the will to persevere.
