| 345993 | 2005-04-17 11:58:00 | Toshiba M30, XP PRO SP2. It locks up at any time. Can not ctrl-alt-delete, or anything. Just have to restart the computer. This does not happen often, sometimes a few times a week, but then it might not happen for 3 weeks or something. Seems to be unrelated to what programs are in use, except, lately I installed Rise of Nations, and it was unplayable, because it would freeze very quickly. It seemed to freeze quite often with Age of Empires 2 as well, so maybe it is a bit program related. I have had it freeze just using IE though. I have played BZFlag for a while, and it has never locked up once on that. Any ideas? If you need more information, please ask for it. |

| 345998 | 2005-04-17 22:44:00 | What videocard driver is installed? ATI or Nvidia??? If Nvidia, it looks like the 71.84 drivers froze systems when playing certain games. If u have a Nvidia based card, you could try getting the official 71.89 drivers. |

Thats why, its hopeless......now if you had a S3 2mb or smilar you could complain fairly.......personally I've gotta fx5200 in my desktop and theres no way you could call the graphics poor............geez it's got 128mb ddr ram on that graphics card and well you could call the graphics poor IF you were trying to play the latest game but ...........desktop graphics poor ?............NOT.... | drcspy (146) | ||
| 346002 | 2005-04-18 00:14:00 | Yeah, i know its a hopeless graphics card. It crashes when not playing games too. Just a wee bit ago, it crashed doing an ad-aware scan. I have some pretty old drivers, like 56. somthing I thought i had to get Toshiba drivers? |
