345802 2005-04-16 23:14:00 Good morning - my latest problem! I made a slide show with music background in ProShow Gold, and because of problems with my last attempt, I saved it in ISO format, with the idea that I would then burn it in Nero Express 6 as a data disk. I did all that, the data was verified, and now it won't play in our LG DVD player, model no. DV7711P. The DVD player just says "Disk Error".

I read on a photography site that I could/should do this, but what am I missing/what foolish thing have I done!?

:help:
Cheers

345803 2005-04-16 23:18:00 if you burn an iso file as a data disk then you'll get a disk with an iso file on it...........and dvd players, or any other player in the world are not designed to 'play' iso files. Iso files are not playable.....you need to use the burnas disk image option in nero........... drcspy (146)
345804 2005-04-16 23:26:00 Yes - that's what the "other half of the household said" - he works in the electronic repair business!

I'll look at Nero a bit more closely (and report back!)

Thanks for that

345805 2005-04-16 23:27:00 True, to play it on a DVD u have to make a video cd in Nero, or a videocd/DVD/slideshow in Nerovision .

Or any other program that has these formats/options

Data disks or ISO's arent made to be played in DVD players . Only computer cd's/dvd's .

345806 2005-04-17 00:52:00 Yes, well it worked and played on our DVD this time. The only prob. is that the DVD takes quite a while to be read and get under way! Never mind...

Thanks for your help!
