Memory tests can even pass a faulty piece of memory. But from what you are describing if it's not memory then it will be your main board is stuffed. And even if you memory is faulty you will end up returning the laptop to be repaired seeing it should have at least 1 year full parts warranty except for LCD damage. It will also save you a lot of time and hassle, as I have dealt with a lot of client laptops at work and you could spend a day analysing problems, but at the end of it all you still have to send it to the manufacturer that will take 3-7 days and at least they will deal with all the issues and sort them out. smokenz |

2005-04-19 05:21:00 | Hmm, I just got an 'IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL' blue screen error message. It said it is because of some drivers. I shall have to update the nvidia ones. | mejobloggs (264) | |

2005-04-19 06:02:00 | Sorry Metla? Odd, I couldnt seem to install the nvidia drivers. They installed but didnt seem to work properly, and couldnt do the lcd 1280x800 resolution, and was a bit weird, so I went back to the old drivers.

2005-04-19 06:13:00 | Tears before bedtime means the **** is about to hit the fan, however I see you managed to get around what i was alluding to, Video card drivers generally never work unless they are the ones specificly written for the laptop, You can in some cases force hacked drivers to install but that can open up an entirely different can of worms. I would suggest you only use the toshiba drivers, check their website for any later releases. If the problems continue (as they surely seem to be doing) then get it looked at under warrenty, rather then make a hash out of the video drivers based on someone elses guess work.

2005-04-19 06:36:00 | grrr, i wish you told me that before i went through the effort :p 45.62 is the latest that Toshiba have for the M30. In this release they talk about adding XP sp2 support. I had 45.55 or something, so maybe this update will do something.
