345616 2005-04-16 05:30:00 All other members seem to know what i meant and by suggesting programs like Ccleaner and other IE history wipers and me not saying no its not IE its another program, could you of not used your common sense and realised what we were talking about? Daniel123321 (7441)

345618 2005-04-16 05:34:00 Please keep in mind, you know what you have done..we weren't there. Hence the multitude of questions and suggestions.

Just to clear things up in my head, you have been down the road of IE-tools-Internet options-General-clear history and while there, clear cookies and files?

345619 2005-04-16 05:36:00 yes i have done that, also i have tryed 3 programs to try and remove it, still no luck. Daniel123321 (7441)
345620 2005-04-16 05:41:00 No wonder you are frustrated, that is really wierd.

Another, through IE, tools-Internet Options-content-Autocomplete , there is a clear forms and/or passwords in there. Maybe even turning it off, restart and then turn back on again?

345621 2005-04-16 05:48:00 have you used a pc protection software (eg pcsheild) which may have or be locking IE settings? tweak'e (69)
345622 2005-04-16 05:50:00 Daniel, it is understandable that you feel frustrated with your problem and some of the replies you are getting but just remember that it is just as frustrating for those who are trying to help you when they do not get the full story and all the information that they require in order to be able to assist.

You have some of the most experienced and best computer techs on this forum responding in this thread so don't go biting the hand that feeds you. I would advise taking a look at this thread (pressf1.pcworld.co.nz) then thinking a bit more about what information would be helpful to those trying to assist. They are all willing to help solve your problem but will not bother if you don't co-operate yourself.

Now, this is a really silly question because it is so obvious and you have probably done it, but when you ran CCleaner did you press the "Clean" button (or whatever it is called) or just the "analyse" button?

As someone else has already suggested I would uninstall Kazaa if I were you. It may be the cause of your problem and even if it isn't it has spyware that won't be doing your system any good.
