2005-04-16 09:03:00 | I am on "Xtra JetStream Everyday" Download speed: maximum 1Mbps Upload speed: maximum 128Kbps Monthly high-speed allowance: 1GB. Download Speed: Up to 24x faster than dial-up. I see why they say "up to" for they low monthly price of just $44.95! B Hmmm, doesn't look right to me - my plan is the same as yours - and my speed is faster - unless you have gone over your limit? Or more likely they have you on the wrong speed. Ring them up and whinge. :-) BTW when they tell you they can't adjust you back over until your anniversary date - scream and kick - they WILL do it straight away if you insist - they just don't like to.

2005-04-16 09:44:00 | I am getting more than 256kbps which is the only slower plan, so that is not really an option. I have just sent an email to Telecom so I will see what, if anything, they can suggest. Thanks. B

2005-04-16 22:27:00 | I'm on a 3gb plan at 256k . On that test page my speeds are 275 . 2 Kilobits ps or 33 . 7 kilobytes/sec . Trevor:) I am in ChCh on the same plan as you Trevor, and my results were: "Your line speed is approximately 265 . 6 Kbps or 32 . 6 K bytes/sec" . I received those results through a WLAN connection to the modem router, though I am not sure whether that slows things down or not . This PC is in the house and the modem router is in another building across the lawn . John

2005-04-17 04:15:00 | "Your line speed is approximately 1034 Kbps or 126.7 K bytes/sec" im on the jetstream everyday plan (til next month, when ill be switching to the 2mb 10 gig muhahahaa) and im getting pretty decent speeds, although im only about 1.5kms away from the exchange, but occasionally it goes right down to 600 odd kbps for an hour or two. Heres the weird thing: www.sal.neoburn.net yet; www.sal.neoburn.net HOW OUT OF IT IS THAT!?!?!?? J

2005-04-17 05:05:00 | I am in ChCh on the same plan as you Trevor, and my results were: "Your line speed is approximately 265 . 6 Kbps or 32 . 6 K bytes/sec" . I received those results through a WLAN connection to the modem router, though I am not sure whether that slows things down or not . This PC is in the house and the modem router is in another building across the lawn . John I just tried the same test with the PC connected directly to the modem router and got the following: "Your line speed is approximately 276 . 9 Kbps or 33 . 9 K bytes/sec" Looks like there is a speed loss through the WLAN .
