Some entries in the add/remove program list I can't remove. It doesn't even say when was the last time I used it. Some programs on the list work fine, but then again like 3/4 of the add/remove list have no "REMOVE" button. It just says rarely.

Is this a problem in my registry?

345857 2005-04-17 00:31:00 Have you scanned for viruses/spyware etc. You could scan your registry with RegScrubXP found here (www.majorgeeks.com) give that a try and see how you get on. Overdrive_5000 (4950)

I have like 5 of them on here...

Adware SE
Spyhunter
Spyware Doctor
XoftSpy
McAfee Anti-Spy

They all each find spyware that others can't for some reason...

345861 2005-04-17 08:59:00 You could try this program, I have had the trial version for ages, ver2.0 and it still works for me. Good for just what you are talking about:

345862 2005-04-17 09:27:00 If all u want to do is remove them use ccleaner.

It has an uninstall/rename option in it (under tools). And its free.

http://www.ccleaner.com

And u can also remove programs in the startup. So they dont run.

I am just trying to fix this problem .

345864 2005-04-17 09:42:00 The problem isn't that the program isn't uninstalling, but the problem is there's no REMOVE Button for like 3/4's of the items on the Add/Remove program list .

All it says is rarely . It doesn't tell me how much space it uses, or when was the last time I used it, it just says rarely . There's not remove button . :@@:

345865 2005-04-17 10:29:00 Run the Registry Editor (REGEDIT.EXE). Open HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ SOFTWARE\ Microsoft\ Windows\ CurrentVersion\ Uninstall. Click on the [+] next to Uninstall and a branch will expand under it, revealing all of the applications currently listed under Control Panel - Add/Remove Programs. Simply highlight any unwanted entries (with a single left-click) and hit Delete. One note about looking for your application in the Registry. It may not have the same name you see in the Add/Remove Programs dialog. If you're unsure about which entry to delete, you can usually click on a likely suspect in the list in the left pane to see a more thorough description in the right pane, pctek (84)
