| 346496 | 2005-04-18 23:41:00 | Heya, Couple of question about broadband. 1. We currently use Xtra business jetstream, and use the 10GB plan, which costs us $900 a month for full speed access. We have approximately 15 computers connected to the net, and I am wondering how I can tell how much speed we need. ie could we get away with using ORCON unlimited broadband but only 256k connection speed. 2. We are about to signup for delivery of an online application that 6 people will be accessing at any one time. Is there a way I can monitor the traffic from that 1 site, so I know how much traffic it is using. Thanks. |

Also XTRA has an unlimited $99 per month 256kbps plan. If you do a quick check of www.numion.com you will see the average speed of the internet is not much different to 256. | KiwiTT_NZ (233) | ||

You will have a cache in the browser which will help somewhat and having a proxy will also limit traffic requests as well. There will be a speed degradation, but the cost savings from $900 to $99 per month will pay for a proxy in a couple of months. |
