347258 2005-04-21 08:29:00 I am in the market for a new flash drive. I have a 256MB Seitec drive, but the Mrs keeps borrowing it.

One of the problems I have with it is the lid off the USB connector coming off in my pocket or in Mrs Wotz bag (a bigger problem, if you understand the dynamics of a women's bag). I am looking for a 512MB or 1GB drive that doesn't have this problem.

I'm currently considering Apacer or Imation Swivel.
Does anyone have any recommendations?

347259 2005-04-21 08:42:00 Hmm, Legend have released a 5Gb and 10Gb USB drive now. Bit bigger than a flash drive but still small enough for a handbag or large pocket.
Or just have a look at some shop sites that show pics of them and choose one.

347260 2005-04-21 08:43:00 apacer but not the swivel model, I use the model that has the lid connected by flexible steel aircraft cable. The lid is easier to remove and its not going anywhere plus it locks firmly to your keyring, quite well armoured as well. My last chumya brand flash drive sacrificed itself to save a 20 cent strap from breaking :( the highlander (245)

347262 2005-04-21 10:08:00 DSE have a 1GB flash drive with a swively top - somewhere around $140 I think from memory. somebody (208)
347263 2005-04-21 10:44:00 Have a look at Super Cheap Computers.
I have a couple of 256Mb drives from there - never given any problems.
They're flimsy but I always us USB - USB cable rather than plug directly into USB port.
Maybe a bit light for heavy useage but very cheap.
Good luck
