| 346704 | 2005-04-19 14:24:00 | I have just joined the bliink Ihug adsl service and got myself the d-link dsl-504g router. When I first connected everything was fine and normal but I am now unable to accept file transfers via msn messenger, Yet when I first connected I was able to... I am running Zone Alarm as my firewall and have the program settings set to allow msn to access the internet and act as a server.... I have googled and found that people have had this problem with previous versions of msn (I am running 7), and that a solution was to create pinholes in the firewall for msn to use or to add the required ports to zonealarm... But I am thinking that this is a router firewall blocking my file transfers... I have tried msn via trillian and was able to accept file transfers although they were very slow... If I ring I-hug will they help or are they likely to tell me to ring d-link. ? Any suggestions on how to get fil transfers via my msn to work again? (Windows firewall is switched off) Thanks M. |
