| 346628 | 2005-04-19 10:03:00 | Hi ya, Have a bit of a problem, have an old acer 510 laptop running 98se with 366 processor and 64 ram. Whenever i have a dial up connection present and try to use the usb after about 20 seconds windows freezes and the only way to rectify the situation is at the wall. note this happens when any dial upconnection is present and does not matter if a browser (i use firefox1 or ie6) is open or the connection is just present. neither does it matter if the usb device is my mouse, camera or even just the usb to mini lead to connect to my camera. during the 20s before the freeze the hard drive is busy. any ideas would be great, cheers steve. |

| 346630 | 2005-04-19 10:43:00 | no the modem is internal on com 3 i think. hard drive is 4.5 gb and has 2.9 free. yes have tried both. when i first tried using the usb it had a conflict so i reinstalled the driver and it fixed it, however this problem still persists. thanks steve. |
