347435 2005-04-22 01:13:00 Once a thread I have posted is completed.
How do I close it so as not to request any further response?

347436 2005-04-22 01:28:00 you cant, your not a mod so you cannot lock them. Prescott (11)
347437 2005-04-22 01:56:00 The best way to "close" a thread is to post your results in the thread you created to let everyone know what your outcome was.

In fact it is rather annoying and quite rude in my view when people don't do this.

I will post my results accordingly.

347439 2005-04-22 04:21:00 Im with FoxyMX, its always good to receive feedback.

If there is a 'valid' reason for wanting it locked then sure.... But otherwise, I personally find it annoying on Forums that lock threads after the mods feel the issue is resolved.

..It means somebody cant come along later and say "I had the same issue but resolved it differently" etc

They just do it for the entertainment value.

347442 2005-04-22 07:44:00 They just do it for the entertainment value.I'm sure most don't. A google search would of brought them to this site and that archived thread. They see something they wish to reply to, hit reply and get asked to register first which they do, and then post away. They probably don't even notice the original thread/post date. Jen (38)
