The fact that different software "fixes" it makes me wonder about a memory problem. It won't cost you anything to run a memory test (http://www.memtest86.com/) programme.

347659 2005-04-23 04:35:00 I read about it, and for the amount of time it takes to do one, it doesn't actually PROVE that the ram is bad, but rather that there is something inhibitting from reading/writing to the ram.

So I'll just stick to D3D for now until I get 2 6800 Ultras under SLI on a new mobo with an FX processor.

347660 2005-04-23 04:49:00 My experience has been that memory test programmes can't prove that memory is good. (There are good reasons for this.) But often they can find bad memory. Graham L (2)
