| 347389 | 2005-04-21 23:31:00 | I have a HP Pavilion 710a computer Atholon XP 1700+, 256 Mb Sdram I started a standard security swipe and it hadn't completed the 1st swipe 7 hours later. The system information reports the processor speed is 100Mhz. Please excuse my ignorance, but shouldn't the processor speed be somewhere around 1700Mhz? If so does this mean the processor is dead? Other notes: I tried to install WinXp took forever and wasn't complete. Any assistance is greatly appreciated. Cheers. |

Reinstall it back to factory default with the restore CDs/partition. Is the CPU showing as 1700 in the BIOS? It should be... |
