I would prefer free or very low cost programs

348559 2005-04-25 03:19:00 There is PowerDesk (www.pcworld.com) of which the older, non-pro version is free, and there is another one that Billy uses but darned if I can remember what it is called at the moment.

Oh wait, it's zTree - http://www.ztree.com/ No idea if that is free though.

It used to be popular with people who used Amiga computers (Well it was an Amiga based program) . And there is now a PC version .

try Power Desk and you will forget Explorer ....

348564 2005-04-25 07:46:00 Windows File Explorer allows panes to be shown rather than requiring 2 instances of explorer.

It's under development but so far the only thing I miss is that lack of right-click functionality.
