348248 2005-04-24 08:56:00 Hi, i was hoping someone could me with a little problem I have. It just happened recently. My burner use to burn at 1 disc at 15 minutes, now it takes anywhere as long as 1/2 hour to burn one... and reading discs takes even longer now. There hasn't been any changes made to the system and I don't have any idea what could be the problem. Can someone help please... i'm running windows XP 1on3wo1f (7957)
348249 2005-04-24 08:59:00 Check to see if the DVD burner is still using DMA mode. If there have been any problems WinXP may have changed the burner to PIO (slower) mode. PaulD (232)
348250 2005-04-24 09:01:00 That's been checked... it's still set on DMA 1on3wo1f (7957)
