Start the reg editor. start - Run - regedit In spybot(from memory here)right click on the first one and go to the location, this should take you to the key in the reg. You should have the info displayed in Spybot so read that to be sure. If you see the Dword key 1004(<-check that number in spybot) double click to edit it. You need to change the value to 3(<-check that number in spybot) and click decimal. If it is not there create a new Dword value. You repeat for each key then exit Spybot without it fixing it. If you need clearer details do a screen shot of the results in spybot or copy them down and post them here. |

| 348664 | 2005-04-27 02:25:00 | I run Spybot (and like it) and it recently came up with "DSO Esploit". Tweak'e and Speedy Gonzales are onto it. What Spybot picks up is a legitimate fix from Microsoft. Do as Speedy says. And a tip for the future. When something pops up like this stick it in (your favourite seach engine) and chances are you'll find it's out there, recorded, and most probably fixed. Not to deter you from coming here but just a good skill to get to used to if you are going to use the net. HTH....m |
