349264 2005-04-27 03:29:00 Hi,

I want to start an online photo album, where my friends and myself can upload our pics, and access them from any computer.

Most importantly....it has to be FREEEEEE. Coz I don't have a credit card.

So far the best thing I have seen is webshots, but I have heard that their software is riddled with spyware. I would also prefer something local.

Any recommendations?

349267 2005-04-27 07:46:00 Just signed up for Flickr and uploaded some pictures. It's not that bad, just that you can only download 1024*768 pictures, nothing higher.

Cheers :)

100MB allow, easy to use and full size of images uploaded and viewed allowed. Allows direct linking to homepage of ur photo gallery without a password but one can be assigned if you wish.

Using the flickr uploadr app makes it a lot sweeter too. Also they only serve up limited sized images, but originals remain on the server incase you go pro (I have every intent to do so very soon). You can easily view your 'higher quality' photos though via greasemonkey (greasemonkey.mozdev.org/) + flickr scripts (http:).

349270 2005-04-27 10:32:00 Doesnt your isp provide you with personal webspace?

Usually it only a miniscule 10 megs but its free. Only you have to build the html part yourself, in which case you can get some free HTML editors or try using the one in the Mozilla Suite.

Could you explain to me in a more in-depth fashion on how to use both tools? :@@:
