| 1370383 | 2014-03-20 02:17:00 | Can anyone think of what would be an easier secure way to make a credit card type purchase that didn't involve using any sort of RFID or NFC chip in a credit card?I know, I know. How about ibeacon:o | plod (107) | ||
| 1370384 | 2014-03-20 02:34:00 | I know, I know. How about ibeacon:o I am sure the concept could be used and abused by retailers as we get deluged by unwanted spam marketing when we enter a store, but in essence it removes the requirement for carrying a credit card with embedded RFID or NFC chip in it - so it would remove the potential ability for hackers to intercept or skim the data at the moment of transaction which is what this whole argument is currently about. And yes, I agree, the concept probably has its flaws, but so do RFID chips. |

| 1370388 | 2014-03-23 00:57:00 | I asked BNZ to replace my Visa with one without WavePay. Here's there reply "Thank you for your request to order a replacement card for your Classic Visa account I did not call you this morning as I thought that it may have been too early. We do not offer Visa credit cards without the Paywave facility on them. Therefore, If I send you a replacement card it will still have the Paywave facility on it. If you have any questions or if I can help further, please reply to this message or contact us on the details listed below. Thank you for contacting BNZ. Kind regards " |
