Protects you against drive failure but not other forms of data loss. Yes, I was aware of that, I have RAID solely as protection against a drive failure. I'm not worried about viruses etc, but I had a strange experience last year when my OS went into a spasm ('cough' manually induced). I rebooted and it went straight to a RAID rebuild, then when it finished all was well. At that time I figured that I'd corrupted something but I guess it was just one of those blues that a reboot will fix, though I still don't understand why the RAID rebuild was initiated. | 1384343 | 2014-09-23 11:35:00 | I had a OCZ Vertex4 died (not completely, though) after just under 2 years, and got it replaced under warranty. I'm using a Samsung Evo in another PC - quite happy with it, so far. |
