Install http://proxmate.dave.cx/ and they think you are in USA -- What you do while in another country and how to pay - thats a different story. wainuitech (129)

Ah, but that only works on a PC - I was trying it on my N7...

Installed in Chrome, and tried to rent a movie and got as far as the Payment Option screen and my payment methods (credit card and Play credit) are "unsupported"... :(

1370776 2014-03-22 04:25:00 NZ legal options include:
iTunes
Google Play Movies
QuickFlix

You technically can use Netflix, while not illegal it does break their ToS, so buyer beware.

There's a host of other illegal streaming, as well as some other torrent based ones that effectively assemble it from the torrent in a streaming format that have been in the media lately. All of those unfortunately are illegal and against PressF1s rules so if you're after those you're on your own ;-)

Google play movies is the same as Netflix as you need a work around?

Hence the comment "how to pay - thats a different story."

1370779 2014-03-22 20:20:00 No, that's incorrect. You CAN use it legally in NZ without a proxy.

Any accounts having issues will likely be to changes in their home address as part of previous workarounds to get Play Music.

And just when I was about to log a support call, I find I am now able to buy from Google Movies!

Obviously the mere threat of my rage was enough to scare Google into submission!! :D
