To embed the malware, we used a common ruse - phishing. After an initial botched attempt, we packed a malicious Mac OS X application inside of a ZIP file and drafted an email (with the ZIP file attached)


Haven't said how they got access to the network. Not that that is relevant because they just relied on stupidity - them opening dodgy emails.....

1370007 2014-03-12 21:43:00 Since they used stupidity to get acess to the MAC, Wouldnt it have been alot easier to just use a keylogger &/or some sort of hidden remote access hack/trojan ?
Then they wouldn't have to be directly trying to contact/trick the bank, & would be able to get easy access to all the other sites as well, directly from the MAC.

Or just ring them, pretending to be Mac/PC/Windows support .
That seems to against alot of naive users :p

They had several members on the 'team' , even recruiting more as the need arose .
they spent several days trying to hack the wifi. It reads that they never managed to hack the wifi , despite all their efforts ?
They planned to use a wps hack, as bugs in many routers means it cant actually be turned off on those routers (despite what the setup/config tells you)
