1384585	2014-09-23 07:36:00	Greetings I was just doing a search about Adobe Photoshop Elements 13, to see what people might know what would be new, whether released etc. Typically, for the last seven/eight years Adobe releases a new version in Sept and it is a great competition to know which date this will probably happen. The first search was hopeless for Photoshop Elements 13 was hopeless as it gave almost 3 million (I think it was) results. Then I did a search +Photoshop +Elements +!3, which narrowed it down to 5 results. Funnily enough websites offer to sell you something which has not already been released yet :D The narrowed search gave only five results, one which was Softonic, and then a "find" search on the result for Softonic revealed ....... absolutely nothing ! So Google search can easily be a waste of time. Are any of the other search engines any better ?? (duckduckgo etc) Anyway it is very clear that version 13 has not been released ... but no indication as to what features it might have :dogeye: Cheers Jim	Misty (368)
1384586	2014-09-23 08:02:00	Everything Adobe has is available as a subscription download online from their website. You pay one price and get access to what ever program they have that you want. Is it an ideal system...? No. But unfortunately it is how they do it now. If you want a basic image editing program that is free you can try The Gimp. You have !3 but more importantly - The plus operator was dropped (searchengineland.com), supposedly to prevent confusion with Google's plus network. No search engine has really beaten the behemoth Google. And really can't - as may do use their index - particularly the cloud/deeper web (websearch.about.com) search engines. There are multi search engines such as soolve (soovle.com/)that may help, or social search engines (e.g topsy (http:)), and Query engines, e.g. Google's keyword tools, adplanner, trends, etc, (and others like the popular internet marketer's wordstream (http://www.wordstream.com/)), or ubersuggest, but are limited unless if you sign up. Query tools help to use relevant search queries, by displaying common queries to use.	kahawai chaser (3545)

With Elements I can virtually do anything that one can do in the full Photoshop, except Curves, which is a work-around in Elements. I had been keeping an eye open to have a look at what the new version would offer, but had slacked off for a few days. The new version has got some good new features for novices, but nothing much in the "Expert" mode. It seems that the new version has 64-bit processing in Organiser, but not in Edit :illogical Would have liked to see creation of Actions in Elements, and also improvements in Camera Raw. Will wait to see what version 14 offers next year. At present not worth upgrading from version 11 (which is really good !) Cheers, Jim	Misty (368)
