Why stop with power plants?... www.nzherald.co.nz Does a young New Zealand couple deserve a helping hand to start on the property ladder? I'm not a NZ first fan, but do we really need let the whole Country be sold? |

If people (in general) were not allowed to buy a house if they weren't going to live in it (police that, if you can!!) then there would be no rental accommodation. However, if the poll question was phrased the way Mr Peters would like to see it, the question would read "Should non-citizens be allowed to buy multiple properties that they are not going to live in?", then you might get a different poll result. If that was the question posed, I would change the answer I have submitted. |

Yeah...I agree with that.....too much of NZ is getting sold to overseas owners. No idea why we allow it when most other places don't. |

There are many people who already live here that need homes. Why should they be sold to someone from another country who isn't going to do anything with it? |
