| 1369820 | 2014-03-09 02:13:00 | here is an article in Stuff. www.stuff.co.nz Any one who is still on XP to me is a luddite who has been misusing out on many good features in 7. (unless of course they cannot afford to upgrade) I had to laugh when the guy says switch to another browser eg Chrome or Firefox which is safer! Some people will carry on all OK Others will give up on desktops and buy a Tablet. (probably not a MS one!) Bu I do think that MS should have waited until W8.1 started getting good reviews, then people would want to upgrade. |

| 1369821 | 2014-03-09 02:21:00 | Well they've had like 4-5 years since Win7 came out to upgrade. You dont have to wait till 8 or 8.1 comes out to think about it | Speedy Gonzales (78) | ||

| 1369823 | 2014-03-09 02:57:00 | I have a friend who uses an XP computer. He has no internet connection and doesn't want one. All he uses it for is writing letters, storing some photos and keeping track of his expenditure using Microsoft Money. He has no intention of adding any other programs or even updating . I assume it will be as per usual for him provided he stays clear of the net. Yes I know he is missing a lot but it's his choice |

MS has well and truly missed the boat on getting good revues for any current or future OS's that they release. The last time they got any decent user reviews was in 2001 when XP came out. They blew any chance they had with the bloated mess that was Vista. From that point on people either decided to hold on till MS released something decent or look at other alternatives and since the iPad has been out there have been numerous alternatives that have allowed customers to switch or try something better. Android's numerous tablets or Chrome books being just two examples, any you only need one decent option to leave Windows. |

| 1369828 | 2014-03-09 03:38:00 | We use XP at work, I often find websites that tell me I need to upgrade my browser on my work laptop. Not going to happen I don't have rights to install anything. Even more amusing is the Laptop came with win 7 and IT removed it and put XP on. I'm wondering what will happen come end of support day but considering we sit behind corporate firewalls and security software and don't let windows auto update now I suspect we will be on XP for a while yet. |

Not so much XP but IE8 (or earlier). Only fix is to upgrade the computer or install another browser. If your hands are tied and not allowed to - its caught between a rock and a hard place :) |
