350208 2005-04-29 07:11:00 Not having much luck re connecting my SE K700i and my Palm Tungsten T3 for data using bluetooth.

I can connect via bluetooth using the dialer on the palm. I also had it doing SMS (but setting seems to not work right now) and I cant get it to connect to the GPRS.

Some details follow,

~~~
There seems to be two likely areas for the problem.
Firstly On the Palm, prefs/phone test tells me
"Test failed.... use the driver for your phone.
There is also a code from Sony Ericsson: AAB-1021041-BV which I guess
is the code for the software on the phone?
I have updated to the latest phone connect utility from palm and it
tells me the K700i is supported.
I get the same results if I use the T610 settings
Secondly,
I have set up the phone using the instructions sent to me from Business
solutions
wireless.vodafone.co.nz 0and%20Palm%20Zire&_country=nz&_phone=Sony%20Ericsson%20T610&_device=Palm%20Zire&_connection=Built%20in%20IrDA%20Ports&Substitute=gprs_apn:www.vodafone.co.nz&Substitute=gprs_ppp_username:web&Substitute=gprs_ppp_password:web&Substitute=gprs_pop:&Substitute=gprs_smtp:&_xsl=GetGPRSGuide
All worked well till step 16:
16. Note the CID number as you will need it later in the guide.
These seemed no place to find that.
350209 2005-04-30 03:56:00 I have got a bit further... the CID number is accessed by clicking the "more" button. In my case it was 6. so I have the phone to dial out as *9***6# - which might look right to a modem expert? I have also more or less verified that the driver I have is right - the T610. Palm just has not renamed these.
I am now getting the phone to try to dial into the GPRS system but it seems to time out and disconnect.
Any further ideas?
