350084 2005-04-28 19:05:00 I have a VA-503+ motherboard running AMD K6-2 500MH processor with 196MB Ram. The m/board has an AGP slot. I would like to update my video card so I can have 3D graphics. I have bought a GeForce 2 MX 200 64MB off TradeME and I have the drivers for it.
1. Is the m/board and graphics card compatible?
2. I have heard that if the wrong video card is inserted in the m/board it could damage the m/board!!
3. Is there anything I should know before I install the graphics card?

Looking forward to your replies.

You should have checked BEFORE you bought.

350086 2005-05-02 17:50:00 Thanks pctek. I had tried to find out but where I looked wasn't very helpful, then as an after thought I tried PressF1. I can report that the Geforce 2 MX 200 card is compatible. Once again many thanks. Knownothing (7989)
350087 2005-05-02 20:57:00 I went to your motherboards manufactureres website and looked up the specs. Then looked on Nvidias website to see what AGP speed the card has. pctek (84)
350088 2005-05-02 23:45:00 it should work fine. the only problems they had was some of the high current cards eg GF2pro not the mx series. also sometimes a liitle glitchy with 32meg+ cards tho i think the drivers sorted that issue out. tweak'e (69)
