2005-04-29 11:52:00 | I know spam is a huge problem for everyone. I have a spammer who has been bugging me for over a month now with usually 3-6 e-mails a day. Today I got 8 from the same place. Always has the same ending to the e-mail address but changes the user name slightly each time. Is there an easy way to report this and get it stopped? If so how & where too? | Peter M (852) | |

2005-04-29 13:03:00 | Okay, How do I report it to there ISP. All the e-mails come as username@verizon.com. The user name changes by one letter each time but the isp name is always the same. | Peter M (852) | |

2005-04-29 21:09:00 | It might not be a genuine verizon.com domain address. Looking at Verizon they have quite a strict anti-spam policy whereby their customers are limited to how many emails they can send per day and how many addresses it can contain. Terms of Service (www.verizon.net). That address might of been spoofed. Verizon doesn't have a abuse email listed according to whois, infact I can't even find a report abuse email address on their website (http://www22.verizon.com/). So if the abuse@ISP addy bounces, you might need to look around that website for contact details. You will need to send the full email headers to that ISP with your complaint. The best way of doing this is to forward one of the spam emails as an attachment, so that the original headers are preserved. To do this in Outlook Express, you just highlight the message, right-click > forward as attachment.

2005-04-30 02:53:00 | Okay thanks for the replies. I use outlook express but have mailwasher so it shows them up and I just delete them without downloading them. It is just annoying having the same unwanted mail 8 times in one hit day after day. One thing is the ISP on the address is verizon.net not verizon.com as I previously stated. Anyway I will see if I can find an abuse address on their website and give that a go. | Peter M (852) | |
2005-04-30 02:58:00 | Is it outlook express? If so, click on message and choose block sender. Works for me. That will only work if the sender is always the same and he said that the senders name changes each time by one letter.
