349452 2005-04-27 20:54:00 Buy a sound card, doesn't have to be an expensive one, SB Live is cheap now, I'd say the onboard audio is faulty. pctek (84)
349453 2005-04-27 21:31:00 Hmm maybe you knocked a jumper on the motherboard (or a wire ).

Does it have front audio ports? What model is it exactly?

349455 2005-04-29 09:22:00 Well I'd give these Realtek drivers (www.realtek.com.tw) a crack or try knoppix to see if it is okay.

Failing that throw a new sound card in. Is it a coincidence that HP have instructions here (h10025.www1.hp.com)

I have all these same problems...What did you do? I have a feeling it has something to do with maybe the front panel, I never used it than one plugged into it and lost left channel. I have done everything you have done...what now!!!!
