| 349459 | 2005-04-27 17:45:00 | I have a customer with 9 computers connecting to the internet through ADSL. Individual computers will randomly disconnect from the intenet, but others will remain online. Restarting the PC temporarily corrects this problem. Any ideas? | colnar1 (7978) | ||

Eg: connecting via ethernet cables to a main router (what model number) and then this connects to the ADSL modem (what model number). Are you using fixed internal IP's or DHCP? What speed of ADSL do you have being shared between the computers? What operating system do the computers use? |

It can only have 5 on a network, and the prob your customer is having sounds like this prob. It drops/disconnects the remaining PC's. If it is Home he/she's using as the main PC, they'll have to get XP Pro or a server version to act as the main PC. |
