350943 2005-05-01 03:01:00 Is there a safe way to turn my broadband off and back on again?
I need to disconnect my anti-virus to install games but I don`t want to be left open on the web.

pulling out the plug is better but you can end up breaking leads.

350948 2005-05-01 08:43:00 Hi Hilton. Have you considered trying this (http://www.broadbandlock.com/) . It is called Braodband Lock . I tried it for a while just out of curiosity - a 7 day free trial - and although it worked, I really didn't need to buy it. The trial period would cover all you need to do. Scouse (83)

Just unplug your modem, switch it off or load it's control panel in your web browser and click the disconnect button. :)

350950 2005-05-01 09:12:00 Unplug your modem from the phoneline... Unplug your modem from your computer... Disable the connection in 'Network and Dial Up Settings'... Turn the modems power off...

Pretty easy for a 10minute install.
