350276 2005-04-29 12:12:00 Heres my problem, just installed me a new motherboard on my system which supports 6 channel surround sound. I also have one of these office keyboards with a volume control. the only problem is when i use the keyboard buttons it only alters the front speakers volume. the same thing happens when I single click the volume icon and adjust the slider.

Any idea how I can get it to adjust the wave volume instead thus controling all of the channels?
any help would be great thanks

350277 2005-04-29 12:30:00 tryed playing round with "sounds and audio devices" under control panel (thats if your using XP). Under volume>advanced... select the right layout/type of speakers. then go into volume>speaker volume check that all the speakers are at the same volume.

No idea if thisll help, im still stuck with my crappy monitor speakers :(

350279 2005-05-01 01:23:00 Are you playing sounds from CD or files on your harddrive?

If from CD, theres a cable that usually connects from the CD player to the soundcard (SPDIF or similar name).
Also I think some motherboards have jumpers that help with sound as well. Read your motherboard handbook and recheck the jumpers.
