2005-05-01 06:43:00 | I use Chami HTML kit which is freeware and also Jasc Paint Shop Pro. I found PSP a bit cumbersome/Clumsy, FF is a step up, and PS a bit too powerful for what I typically do graphics wise. It's nice how all 3 have like 30 day trials :-)

2005-05-01 07:05:00 | I used to point laughing at guys that mentioned Notepad as their primary tool for making websites I still do :D I mean, the speed and simplicity of using a wysiwyg editor makes it unnecessary to have to learn to type at 120 words a minute.

2005-05-01 08:27:00 | I read that Adobe was planning to buy Macromedia. True/Untrue? When I used to create any webcontent my weapon of choice was Dreamweaver MX. I'm very keen to see what tools Linux will offer me once I get my LinBox online.

2005-05-01 08:31:00 | I read that Adobe was planning to buy Macromedia. True/Untrue? When I used to create any webcontent my weapon of choice was Dreamweaver MX. I'm very keen to see what tools Linux will offer me once I get my LinBox online. www.wired.com (www.wired.com) www.xtra.co.nz (http:) and assumably other have highlighted that some degree of 'merger' has been created between the two. I would suggest looking for the specs. Apparently a 'Manager' of Macromedia is to take over Adobe supposedly in the article i read. To be honest i have used 30-50 Versions of linux as an amatuer, its not as standardised and it seems some of the quality of implementation and offerings is lower. Not to say that should or shouldn't be i am just saying thats my observation. How come i had that many distros? I used to have cheapcds.digitalbuilder.co.nz and offered 55ish linux CDs burnt to CD in exchange for $2-$4.00, with varying quantities

2005-05-01 14:07:00 | How heavily are you into linux? vi seems more linux orientated Not at all anymore for various reasons. Ditto for Windows. I use FreeBSD full-time now, and have been for almost two years. vi will nut you out for the first few weeks, until the keystrokes and shortcuts become second-nature. And then it just flies along without having to use the mouse at all.
