350859 2005-04-30 21:20:00 My system, Win 2000 Pro is set to auto update from Microsoft.

It looks like an auto download stopped OE from displaying mail that contained *.txt, *.exe and now anything *.jpg files.

I can understand the .txt and .exe, but jpg seems to be going over the top.

Is there a way to stop OE deleting jpg files ? as I want them!

350860 2005-04-30 21:31:00 Go to Tools|Options and select the security tab. Uncheck "Do not allow attachments to be opened or saved that could potentially contain a virus". I think it is all or nothing - you can't say "allow these but not those".

FWIW I think it is possible to infect .jpg files.

350861 2005-04-30 21:35:00 You can get around it by asking the person who sent them to zip them first. Or use a different email program like Mozilla or Thunderbird. pctek (84)
