| 350852 | 2005-04-30 18:57:00 | I've had some major problems with adware the past couple days, but I think I've gotten them all resolved except for the tracking cookies. I run spybot and it says I have no problems, but I still get a TON of popups. I run adaware and it usually says between 15-20 tracking cookies, so I delete them, but then the popups still come, so I run adaware again and again it says I have tracking cookies, I delete them, and this cycle continues. I've also just gone and manually deleted all of my cookies and all temporary internet files, too, but they still come. I know (well, I'm pretty sure) tracking cookies pose no threat, but the popups are EXTREMELY annoying, and my popup blockers don't stop them from coming, either. Is there anyway I can totally get rid of these? | nosnah227 (8004) | ||

| 350857 | 2005-05-01 01:29:00 | You don't mention whether you have antivirus software, and I can't see it listed as one of the running applications unless you have the combined ZoneAlarm Firewall/Antivirus package installed? A antivirus package should of prevented some of those viruses/trojans running. If you don't have a antivirus package, then AVG - free home version (free.grisoft.com) is good. :) |
