351426 2005-05-02 06:40:00 Looks like this fix just came out 28/4/05. It's a safedisc fix.

Overview

When running a restricted user account with fast user switching under Windows XP, some games will not start correctly. The game requests that the original disk be placed in the drive, even if it is already present. To remedy this issue, download and run this fix.

This software will not alter or patch any component on your system, it will only change the startup state of the system component needed to start your game from start on demand (on game load), to start at boot (on Windows XP start).

This MIGHT fix the prob.

351427 2005-05-02 10:00:00 It's a Macrovision update - not Microsofts.

351428 2005-05-02 10:09:00 Did u READ the MS site?? It says Microsoft, NOT Macrovision .

Obviously not . This is also a safedisc fix .

BTW, your link doesn't work .

Safedisc altho its on the MV site, applies to copy protection . MV is to do with video/dvd and when u try and connect a videocard to the TV out to TV, when playing a DVD .

Some versions of the Nvidia drivers, will bring up a message saying something about MV, telling u its not going to work . (In other words) . You can get around both as well .

351429 2005-05-02 10:14:00 Safe Disk is Macrovision DRM software. MS license their products along with just about anyone who produces CD's with commercial software on them. Murray P (44)
351430 2005-05-02 10:16:00 Well MS still did a fix for it. For XP.

The original post wasnt to ask who made the thing!

351431 2005-05-02 10:24:00 No they didn't. Macrovision fixed it. As they should - its their copy protection. As if MS never claimed anything as theirs before:

351432 2005-05-02 10:29:00 Whatever, the fix on the MS site is 185 not 67k .

So theyre totally different whatever they are .

WHO said MS made it?? Or claimed they did? I didn't . .

Before u answer something, think about what to type!!
