| 351256 | 2005-05-01 23:02:00 | Hey all, I have finally decided it's time to upgrade. However, being something of a cheapskate I only want to upgrade my CPU and not my entire PC. Given that: I'm running a Shuttle AB30 Socker 478 motherboard. My CPU is a P4 1.6 GHZ. My question is - what CPU's can I upgrade to using the same motherboard? Will I be able to successfully run one of the Socker 478 P4 chips with the 533 mhz bus? Has anyone been though this before with a similar motherboard? Regards, Bruce. |

You'll have to get a 400 fsb CPU . Find the manual for the mobo online, and see what cpu's it supports . |
