| 352188 | 2005-05-05 00:36:00 | Is the Paradise mail server down? I can't get through to support, and I cannot access email through either my email proggie or webmail. It seemed to be up and down yesterday and there were lots of delays as well, so I guess the thing has fallen over yet again. Yesterday's behaviour is consistent with the last time their mail servers crashed. Support took me through the whole painful automated question answer thing, then there was silence, and then the Happy Recorded Voice came back saying "I'm sorry, I am having difficulty in connecting you; please call again." I've just had one arrive in that was sent around 2:30am this morning. Send one to yourself to test and see if it comes back. I sent one from my Uni email an hour ago and that hasn't arrived through yet. |

I sent one from my Uni email an hour ago and that hasn't arrived through yet. Whilst the server seems to be working again, I have had a reply from someone to a group email that hasn't even reached me yet; and I have had huge delays receiving a group email that I sent with my own name in it. I was getting replies to that email before the original came back to me hours later - all very similar to the symptoms that preceded last year's major crash. Grrrrrr... |

There has been a huge amount of virus activity from the sober.o and sober.p viruses in the last 3 days. I know of one organization that has singlehandedly infected half of my town :) I would hazard a guess that the paradise mail servers are suffering the same fate. |
