| 352059 | 2005-05-04 10:25:00 | Hi, I'm writing in the hope that the thread I enclose can be seconded, this seems to be a real problem for a lot of folk from what I've seen & read this last 2 months. forums.pcworld.co.nz I have exactly the same problem, ( for 9 weeks ), plus, sometimes the drivers are not recognised, with "error" driver not found, press F5 to refresh. Have tried all the advice given on the web, including deleting cd-r and dvd, when restarted, the pc finds the drivers, but still will not burn properly, and as with Myles, system restore doesn't make it work. Have downloaded RealOne, Musicmatch, and other players, with exactly the same effect, only a part burn, if it burns at all that is. Nothing it seems will make the burner work, all Microsoft can say is to come to a forum for an answer, greeeatt. Can anyone please help.???????????? Thanks, gleann. |

| 352062 | 2005-05-05 14:14:00 | Thanks for your replies, Am running XP Home with SP2, and have tried many different players as mentioned, including Nero, which came bundled with my Medion Connect XL, which is now 2 and a half years old. Yep, have uninstalled, and reinstalled, the outcome always being the same. Have tried to reinstall Windows against my better judgment but for some reason, NOW my pc is looking for "A Drive", alas it doesn't have a floppy drive. Have reinstalled windows once before with no problems. |

Go into your BIOS and while you're checking Speedys questions, disable 1.44" floppy drive. Then windows will stop nagging about it. |
