351811 2005-05-03 12:17:00 Well you will need to test things methodically:

1) Test the Hard Drives in another PC (and check them with the manufactures diagnostic tools - some motherboards are picky about faulty drives)
2) Test the IDE cables in another PC
3) Check your BIOS settings (clear cmos, load default settings)
3b) Check the motherboard for jumper settings
4) Try a different IDE port on your motherboard
5) Try a BIOS upgrade for your motherboard
6) Try a CDROM on the motherboard
7) Check the motherboard website and related forums for any info
8) Try a different power supply unit
9) Get another motherboard of the same model and test that (okay this may not be possible, I'd probably be returning the motherboard at this point)
10) Read the motherboard manual very carefully and download newer versions if available.
11) Pray to the hardware gods - okay this is return under warranty time...

351812 2005-05-03 13:06:00 What message do you get after POST (the beep & BIOS screen) when the hardware is being loaded? Eg; "Detecting............ Primary Master press F4 to skip", then what?

What happens if you put a bootable CD or floppy in it's drive? (Make sure BIOS > Boot is set with the CD and floppy preceding the hard drives in the boot order, usually + or - keys to change the order.
