2005-05-06 22:52:00 | I would get the 98 SE drivers. The one that says 15/6/1999. Not much else you can do bout it. I would also get the BIOS for that videocard. BUT install the videocard drivers FIRST. See what happens.

2005-05-06 23:07:00 | I get confused with the downloading bios also .. if i download the intel drivers do they settle on top of wat was/is there? And does the same go for the bios? The comp says the driver is win9x but it doesnt state a version number. When this comp was set up .. we had a recovery drive set up too .. but we cant find the driver on that drive either.

2005-05-06 23:15:00 | The BIOS update for it, is like a BIOS for a computer . It fixes bugs . It's NOT the same as the driver itself . They're different things . That driverguide site, I can go to but u have to register / login to get that file . It's most probably the same file as the Intel download site . Maybe Intel didnt have enough room to put WinME on it! Or just forgot ME existed . That previous post u posted with the garbage looks like the BIOS u have at the mo (On the videocard) is 232 . The latest one on the Intel download site is 239 .

2005-05-07 00:03:00 | DONE !!!! Got em down .. filed and loaded onto the comp .. graphics are awesome again !! Thanks speedy. Getting back to the DVD burner .. Are you saying that I would be able to burn em as the comp is ?? I have Nero. One thing Im wanting to do .. is produce pics, with animated perhaps onto DVD for both PC and TV use .. or purely for TV. I did one a few weeks ago on PC .. it looked great .. I burnt it .. many many ways .. but the animations didnt come out on TV .. I live in an isolated area and thought I might be able to make some spare cash if I could produce these for the locals as gifts or whatever. Comprede ? And thanks again .. modest arnt you .. for a guy :P

2005-05-07 02:55:00 | Good to hear one prob is fixed! Umm, Nerovision . nero . com/eng/nero-up . php" target="_blank">www . nero . com Package 2, (it isn't EXACTLY small if you're on a slow connection)! is bettter for burning something to a DVD burner than Nero . Nerovision lets u make things like slideshows, (ie: photos, and sound (from MP3's) and will also let u make/burn DVD's, add titles/backgrounds to the DVD, before u burn it . And will also let u preview whatever you've done, before u burn it . Yup, just as long as the dvd burner shows up in My computer, you know it is working (well connected properly anyway) . BUT if it does show in Windows, hopefully, the burner isn't on the same IDE connection (in the case) as a hard drive . You WILL have probs, if it is . What version of Nero is installed? The problem, with some external DVD players is, it depends on what it supports . If your external DVD player supports JPG/JPEG, it shouldn't have a problem showing pics on a TV . And not all DVD players, support menus or the dvd you've created on a computer . Some just REFUSE to work at all! Unless the DVD player u have has settings/ a setup menu . And you change some settings, so it'll load the DVD at all . Once you've burnt whatever, if it is a DVD / movie, and you want to view it on the computer itself, you'll need something like PowerDVD, or a DVD program to view / watch it .
