2005-05-04 10:23:00 | What operating system are you using? SMs had WinXP Home in earlier posts. I have no idea if it's still the same. Based on previous messages I can't figure if the connection to orcon is dial up or adsl.

2005-05-04 10:28:00 | Nope thats not working either, still trying to log on every five or ten secs, J When you say "log on" do you mean that the modem is dialling out every five - ten seconds? Meaning to get to the Internet using a dial up modem or what? If your modem is trying to dial out every 5 - 10 seconds to connect to the Internet then usually that may mean spyware, trojan dialler or an uncompeted Windows update. Trying to get to the root of the peoblem.

2005-05-04 22:26:00 | Get rid of MS Messenger. In my experience that's been a cause of a lot of problems. Very intrusive, pushy and irritating. You can always re-install off your CD Rom for your windows OS. HTH......m | mark c (247) | |
2005-05-04 22:36:00 | Hi Fellas Win XP Home, I see someone is keeping tabs on me. Avast AV I do not think it is a Trogan or anything like it as it happened right after the kid attack. I would not know about an incompleted update. Yes AMD1 I mean exactly that, the dial up modem keeps dialing up on it's own. If I reboot it don't happen. If I go on the net and off again it wants to get back on Yes zqwerty I took the tick out with no change. I thought it would be an easy one for you, I do appreciate the effort John

What do I mean by Odd? Well stuff you don't recognise. If you don't recognise anything ask again here. | mark c (247) | ||
